Opinions
Through our research and investigation into the topic of the current state of Lebanese sports journalism and the state of coverage, we have had many opinions, some of which were positive and some of which showed the extent of the weakness that Lebanese sports journalism suffers from, but some of which were also like advice to revive this journalism.

Mr. Ali Haddad
"The key to development in sports journalism lies with journalists, and this is through their being invited by local and foreign channels, which is absent, especially in the matter of sports commentary, where the Lebanese element is absent."

Dr. Stephanie Saad
"I support you in any specialization option in the world of sports; we need to academically nurture this field in order to organize it and have academic scientific references. In addition, specializing in your passion will lead to fruitful and unconventional results, just as happened with me in my PhD thesis in the field of basketball terminology, which was unique and unfamiliar."

Mr. Hussein Yassine
"Journalists must liberate themselves from the grip of politics. This liberation will enable them to carry out the best thing that improves sports, which is to criticize those who manage it, but criticism within the profession only."

Ali Rida (Al Ahli - Nabatiyeh Player)
"Sports journalism today is far from professional. Imagine that in the whole of Lebanon there is only one journalist who conducts interviews with players after the match. Moreover, this journalism only supports the prosperous clubs, while the clubs that come in the second category are not looked at by the press."

Mohammad Haidar (Al Ahed Player)
With the circumstances that Lebanon is suffering from today, sports journalism coverage is good enough, because it is still standing on its own two feet. However, there is a problem that we players suffer from, which is that the press today does not criticize within the profession, but rather works to spread media fabrications and personal criticism only."

Mahdi El Zein (Al Nejmeh Player)
"Most journalists today do not apply journalism in its entirety because they are independent and follow the path of individual journalism without any controls that respect the laws of the profession."

Mr. Saleem Nassar
"The state of sports journalism today is extremely degraded for several reasons, the first of which is historical. This is due to the fact that the Lebanese state, since its inception to this day, does not recognize sports or even art, considering them secondary matters. Some may disagree with me because of the existence of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, but my question is: does this ministry have any positive impact?
